It would be hard to not notice that CricketGames.com has not been updated much in the last few years. The main reason for this is any non trivial update was a pain to do as I no longer had access to the original FrontPage web. I have long been considering a move to a CMS (Content Management System) and after evaluating several have settled on Drupal. Hopefully this will mean updates can be more frequent as it is easier to add updates and also other people can submit updates (if they have the right permissions).

I have re-created the forum from the old site. Unfortunately there was no method of converting any of the existing users or posts to Drupal so currently the forum is empty and all users will have to re-register. The strengths of the new forum (sticky topics, etc.) though outweigh this. It will also allow a fresh start and old posts can be manually copied over. Please note some new forums like Cricket Chat for real life cricket subjects and Off Topic for non cricket related subjects.

Currently this is very little actual content on the site. I do plan on adding details of all the games over the next few weeks or so but it will be a gradual process. For now though the forums are available which was where the majority of the site access was. Downloads will also be added at a later date.

Drupal also incorporates a blog in to the site so I may well be using that for more personal posts not necessarily strictly about cricket. Maybe I will use it to provides updates for any coding updates I do to my new cricket simulation (yes I am working on one just progress is very slow due to other commitments and a heavy addiction to World of Warcraft).
