Hi everyone,

Welcome to the new ICC forums. Had hoped the transfer would be a bit smother than it turned out but was given no warning that the old site was about to disappear.

I meant to post this 'welcome' a few days and already part of what I was going to say about how the new forum would handle itself has been compromised.

The previous forum fell foul at the end to a lot of name calling and insults. It wasn't just one person despite what some people might think. Please do not post any inflammatory posts about anyone else on this forum. This includes mentioning other forum members in signatures or pretending to be someone else.

This forum is for the discussion of ICC only. There are new forums for Real life cricket chat and off topic chat so please use them for posts of that sort.

I ordered my copy of ICC III online lastnight and can't wait to get it, I am a massive fan of the ICC series and it's the only game I actually play these days, love it !

Various Replies

Lack of updates as has been cited by some replies is no excuse for how the previous forum turned in to a mass of insults. Off topic and real life cricket posts weren't an issue and I have created forums so they can continue if people wish to post.

This forum only took a few hours to set-up so hardly equates to doing a new update. I'm not employed by Empire and haven't been since 2002 so don't have any say in development of new versions. All I do is provide the server for on-line games and a forum for people to discuss the game if they want to. The reality is that whilst it would be wonderful to do a version that had lots of changes it would never be profitable due to the costs involved in developing a modern game.

I too agree with damage. You can't just change the forums and expect everyone to be adjusting accordingly. Daniel, mate what you have here are the last remaining die hard fans of the game, and as lame as that sounds, I don't think you guys even appreciate that fact. The reason why the discussion had gone off track Daniel, is because (and no disrespect intended) you guys had failed to generate enough interest in the latest version of the game. And thats not our fault, because we had repeatedly discussed what we thought of the game, and the various places it could have been improved. Yet you guys ignored it, did not release enough updates, or newer versions, and then you turn around complain that the material discussed on the forums is not relevant. It could have been a lot different, so yeh, improve the game, or unfortunately that is where this new forum will once again be heading...

I agree with Damage. A new forum with the same tired subject matter will not be successful. We need a new game with proper upgrades and additions.

A new forum vs A new Game

If the same effort put into making a new forum was put into improving a new edition of the game, by using the many suggestions mentioned in the previous forum, you may have found that the previous forum wouldn't have deteriorated and the game would have remained the main topic of discussion. ICC3 didn't have any of the suggestions mentioned by the most important people, those that play, and was another rehashed edition of what has been produced repeatedly in a different package.

Improve the game play, the match engine and the in game navigation and presentation for the next edition and I believe you'll find that this forum may just take off.

Man, I think nobody is anymore interested to continue discussion on this wonderful game or in other case not sufficient people know about this new forum.Hey Daniel, if you have email addresses of the old members then just try informing them about the forum through it,otherwise this forum on present rate of member participation will cease to exist.Its a request.....plz...
