Recently my old ISP removed the old CricketGames.com content without warning me. This was not totally unexpected as I was not going to renew the site for another year and was always intended to relocate it to this server or have this 'Testing' site take over. I have copied over the old website to this site and updated the DNS (these changes may take 48 hours to propagate) so cricketgames.com will still work as it always has. One unavoidable side effect of the transfer is that the old forum could not be copied over.
I found this game whilst browsing GameDev.net where it was selected as the Image of the Day.
Cricket 3D has taken a massive leap forward with a stunning new version 3 now released for the 2008/2009 season. Incorporating a new graphics engine, all the models and animations have been renewed with superb bowling action, powerful shots and smooth action sequences. And with new camera angles built into the game, the action is even more realistic. Cricket 3D on the Mac has never been so good!
It would be hard to not notice that CricketGames.com has not been updated much in the last few years. The main reason for this is any non trivial update was a pain to do as I no longer had access to the original FrontPage web. I have long been considering a move to a CMS (Content Management System) and after evaluating several have settled on Drupal. Hopefully this will mean updates can be more frequent as it is easier to add updates and also other people can submit updates (if they have the right permissions).
